The disappearing lakes of Bengaluru are becoming a threat to the environment and the city. Wake the Lake is a flagship program that aims at the revival and preservation of urban and rural lakes. It brings together civic bodies, civil society and local communities to actively participate in reviving lakes and establish ownership for sustainability.
The One Billion Drops is a program to enhance the depleting groundwater levels in and around Bengaluru by conserving rainwater. The project intervention involves an integrated approach where social, technical and environmental aspects are blended during the intervention phase.The goal of the program is to build 10,000 percolation pits and thereby conserve 1 billion litres of rainwater every year.
It’s crucial for children (0-6 years) to develop physically and mentally in order to be school-ready. To build awareness and foster holistic growth, we teamed up with government-run anganwadis in peri-urban and rural areas that create the opportunity for a healthy and productive childhood.
Despite strong economic growth, rural communities around Bengaluru still struggle to access the basic necessities. To create a positive impact, we work with local partners to understand the needs of these communities and suggest solutions to offer them a better quality of life.
