Before joining Accel as a Partner, Prashanth was a Partner at Erasmic Venture Fund. Prashanth has over 10 years of Startup experience in Internet Software, retail and healthcare related businesses and has invested in numerous startups in India.
For the past few years Prashanth has focused on seed/early stage investing as in fairly diverse areas, such as internet & mobile, knowledge process outsourcing, food & consumer retail, bio tech and technology products.
Prior to launching the Erasmic Venture Fund (EVF) in 2006, Prashanth Prakash, co-founded Erasmic Consulting to work with, mentor and invest their personal time and capital into early stage US/India cross-border companies. During this period he was on the Board of Small Device (now part of Digital Chocolate) & Advisor Galvanon (now part of NCR).
As Founder/CEO of NetKraft he helped define both the Vision and Strategic direction for NetKraft to establish it as one of the leading Offshore solutions company focusing on the retail and healthCare verticals.
Before returning to India in 1998, he held a full time position at S3 Technologies a division of GSE systems. Working for them in various capacities he led a team that was responsible for building the next generation Case Tools for real-time simulations (GemCase).
Prashanth holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware, USA, and an Undergraduate degree, also in Computer Science, from the Bangalore Institute of Technology, India.
