Manish has over a decade of experience in the field of social development. From his college days he has been actively associated with youth movements and volunteer work in India and in the Asia Pacific Region. In the year 2000, he received the National Youth of the Year Award from Catholic Bishop’s Conference of India. He represented Indian Youth at several National and International forums including the Asian and World Youth leaders’ meets.
In pursuit of his dream to promote the Rights of Children and socially just society, he was awarded the prestigious Ford Foundation Fellowship to do a Masters in Human Rights from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. He returned to India after completing his International degree in Human Rights to join Child Rights and You (CRY) where he was involved in evolving strategies, planning, monitoring and evaluating Public Action Groups for Child Rights. He helped CRY to position Public Action Groups towards Rights based work; his contributions were appreciated internally as well as by the members of Public Action Groups.
Manish is passionate about nurturing social initiatives, growing not – for - organizations and providing expert advice to Companies to structure Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Manish heads the operations of United Way Bengaluru.
