On the occasion of their Founder’s Day, 50 students from Widia Poorna Prajna School, Tumkur Road planted 50 saplings at the Dasarahalli Lake to mark the occasion. It was so heartening to witness a group of enthusiastic students from the school engage in planting work at the lake.

Aware that United Way Bengaluru is undertaking the rejuvenation work at this lake, the authorities of the school approached us to undertake the planting activities and also requested that we continue with the maintenance of these plants. United Way Bengaluru was more than happy to oblige as under our ‘Wake the Lake’ campaign one of our objectives is to get the community, especially children to contribute towards the lake rejuvenation process.
