BLC Review visit by UWBe and UTC team

A team consisting of Amit Sawarkar from UTC, Smita and Bhagya from United Way Bengaluru visited seven Anganwadi Centres in Hoodi Cluster on 27th June, 2017.

The purpose of the visit was to review the BLC program in these centers and engage with the children and mothers through various activities. The children welcomed these activities and participated with enthusiasm.

The objective of the Born Learning Campaign is to enhance early learning abilities, including fine and gross motor skills, among children; establish a nurturing relationship with the mothers to make them aware of health and hygiene needs of their children and provide a conducive learning environment for these children.

The team themselves engaged in preparing themselves and the centers for the month of July.  An action plan was drafted, comprising key points such as children’s activities and mothers meetings to name a few. These plans will be implemented by volunteers from UTC under the monitoring and guidance of UWBe team.
