Balachandran Warrier

Balachandran has wide ranging experience in large-scale organizations in India, UK and USA, with specialized knowledge of beer and beverage can manufacturing.

 

He has held positions as Senior level Manager in Metal Box, Vice President of Tube Investment of India, President of the well-known Ayurvedic Manufacturing and Marketing Organization- Arya Vaidya Pharmacy and also as the Marketing Director of Sobha Developers. For three years he guided the operations of the NGO, Agastya International Foundation, as COO, who make the rural, under privileged children explore education differently.

 

Since June 2007, he has headed Manipal Foundation - the charitable arm of the Manipal Group, with four veriticals - Education, Healthcare for the poor & Needy, Research and Economic upliftment of the rural poor.

Balachandran has played Ranji Trophy Cricket and also National Level Badminton. He continues to take active interest in sports at the club level and with his wife, takes a keen interest in various cultural activities.
 

He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from India and Masters Degree in Engineering and Management from The University of Florida, Gainesville.
